StackHawk is a developer-first API and application security platform that helps engineering and security teams discover hidden APIs, test continuously, and remediate vulnerabilities early.

As StackHawk’s business matured and scaled, they needed a brand identity that reflected that growth – one that projected confidence and technical credibility, while retaining the energy and curiosity that defined them from the start. We evolved StackHawk’s brand and designed a new website that bridges product and identity, communicating clearly to both technical leaders and developers.

Operating in a crowded IT security market, StackHawk needed to sharpen its identity. Founded in 2019, the company had evolved far beyond its startup beginnings. Our task was to express that growth through a brand that felt established and credible, while preserving the personality and approachability that appealed to its developer audience.

Inspired by StackHawk’s mission of helping teams discover, prioritize, and fix, we designed a system that directly echoed the product experience. A typographic highlighter motif represents focus and discovery. Flowing line elements suggest motion, guidance, and process. Layered gradients and reveal effects hint at surfacing hidden risks – a visual metaphor for the product itself.

Purposeful animation brought the website to life. Every motion sequence was designed to illustrate process, not just decorate. The result is a seamless continuity between product and brand: a site that feels as alive and dynamic as the StackHawk platform itself.

The new direction extended also into all marketing collateral. StackHawks new Vibe feature was unified under the same design logic, allowing the brand to feel cohesive across all communication layers.
